Ben and Lizzie returned to the hotel suite after a great night at the concert. Agent Walker bid them goodnight and sat down outside their room.

Lizzie said to Ben “We need to get to bed as we have a long day tomorrow.” She went to the TV, put it on, and selected one of the numerous music channels and turned the volume up high. Lizzie then went to the bathroom to get ready for bed.

Ben just kept saying to himself keep calm, keep calm. Ben had realised that if he got nervous he might disappear and that would ruin everything with Lizzie and the mission if they were being watched. The TV! he thought. “Of course! She wants to talk not dance, that’s why the music is up loud. Be grown up,” Ben said to himself, “be professional Ben you’re on an important mission for your country.

Lizzie came out of the bathroom and slid into the large double bed wearing a white night shirt. Ben had already undressed and was in the bed waiting and fighting with himself to stay calm. Lizzie rolled over towards Ben, this made Ben very nervous, but he managed to control his pulse but only just. “Ruby really likes you Ben,” Lizzie whispered to him.

“I know” Ben replied, “and guess where she has always wanted to go to since her father became President? Area 51” Ben said, before Lizzie could even answer. “She could be our ticket there and we might even get a guided tour to boot. I will work on her tomorrow night at the Presidents banquet at the White House.”

“So, was that the plan you mentioned earlier? Lizzie asked. “Very clever Ben we might still pull this off yet. No, hold on Ben you didn’t know Ruby wanted to go to Area 51 when you told me you had a plan, so what are you up to Ben?”

“No, my plan has changed to this,” Ben said. “We can call it plan B, or should we give it a secret name? Like Alien Fortress.”

“No, Plan B is fine,” Lizzie said with a smile, as she rolled away from Ben. He makes me laugh, she thought.

Ben rolled over away from Lizzie and smiled to himself. She thinks I’m clever, I think she is starting to fall for me. If I can pull this off, she will be so impressed.

I will have to keep an eye on Ruby, Lizzie thought to herself. Am I getting jealous? she thought for a split second, and then dismissed it. No. This is my job, which I do for my country. Feelings don’t come into it, not totally convinced.
